For these photos, my dad and I drove around some weird town in Ohio to try and find some relatively nice looking landscape. The only thing I could find was this swamp with some reeds. To get the photo on the left, I put my hand behind the thin reed to help it focus and then removed my hand to shoot. The one on the right looked really poor without the filter but when I added it, the photo became a rich gold color. In the end, I feel like the results turned out alright considering the circumstances.
I took these photos out of a plane, this appears to be a mountain range that we were flying over. It was challenging for me to get these photos without the glare of the window/ getting the frame in the photo. I really like how the one on the right turned out because of the filter. It accented the little green dots of trees all over the mountains which made it look like a painting. These photos were fun to take and i'm really lucky that I got the opportunity to take these.
These photos are from when I went to Florida with my family over spring break. We went to the beach almost everyday and I knew that it would be a good opportunity for me to get my landscape photos. This is the beach that we went to one afternoon on a really calm day as you can see because there aren't a lot of waves. The filter that I put on the second one was really tricky to do because it made the whites in the photo stand out too much. To get these photos I had to be cautious of the sun and trying not to make the photos really bright.
The one on the right is probably my favorite out of all of the ones I edited. The purple dots on the waves really stand out to me and the colors make the photo look almost magical. I took these photos the last night that my family and I were in Florida because I thought a sunset would look really pretty. It wasn't the most epic sunset but I thought that I would make do with what I got. I also had to make the photos a lot lighter because it was getting pretty dark for these. The lighting was really cool though, it made the whole beach look pretty and pink.
I took these photos on my way to school one morning when it was snowy. It was really interesting because the light was pink and it reflected off of the snow nicely. We decided to pull over on Huron River Dr. and go out on a bridge to get cool photos of the pink landscape. When I edited these, I feel like the result looked a lot better in person. The purple one turned out pretty cool though but I had a lot of trouble making it look like a painting without just looking blurry.
