To take these photos, my dad and I drove downtown and looked for cool buildings to shoot. This was the first interesting building that I saw. I was initially drawn to this window that I saw through the trees. It was hard to shoot because there was a plastic bag as you can see stuck in the tree and I couldn't get it out of the view. The stairs showed how even though the building looked strong and tall it actually had started to erode and crumble. For the blueprint, I chose the view that showcased the tower the best and I am really happy about how the result looks like a drawing.
This next building was a cool building that I saw when I was walking on the Michigan campus. I liked it a lot because of how the bricks created different patterns. One challenge I faced was trying to angle my camera to exclude these signs that were in the window. I think that I made it work and did a pretty good job. I really like how the detail on the bricks popped on the blueprint.
This building was different from the others because it shows how run down some places are in Ann Arbor compared to the other pictures I took. It's a dome shaped greenhouse that was very rusted and old and all of the plants inside were dried up. I tried to shoot at angles that wouldn't get the reflection of my camera in the picture. For the blueprint, I chose the photo that was shot the furthest away. I like how you can see in the photo that it was just a run down building tucked away in the city.
These photos were also directly taken on the campus. My favorite feature was how the clouds reflected off of the windows. I really like the circle details in the photo too. When I was editing these, they were really dark at first and I had to lighten them a lot but then the sky kind of just went white. My dad actually pointed this building out to me and I have to agree that it is pretty cool. For the blueprint, I like how it turned out and I think that the angle is really nice.
This was a cool sculpture that I saw and it caught my eye with how colorful it was. I like the shape of it too how it kind of swirls and gets smaller to a point. When taking these photos, I unfortunately had to crop them a lot because there was no way I could avoid the sidewalks all around them. I was also bending at really weird angles to get these because it was pretty tall so I'm sure I looked weird. The blueprint was tricky because there was a lot of noise in the background that I had to blur out so that it wasn't too distracting.
